Back in March of 2016, I hosted a Spring Weaving Challenge over on Facebook; in the Circle Weaving group. On June 4, 2016, I updated a call to post all Final Entries.
Below is the amazing Fiber Artistry of the following participants--who presented completed Weavings:
- Saskia Bongers-Slager
- Mary Jeanne Goss
- Julienne Hanson
- Kathryn Olson
- And myself, Laura Abbott
But first---- here is a brief reminder of the Challenge. The following photo ended up within a specified search result, and it captured my Creative Heart. Almost immediately the lyrics of a very old song [The Windmills of Your Mind, by Dusty Springfield], echoed through my mind:
"... like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel---Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel."
As I had mentioned in a recent blog post, it had never been my intention to be away from blogging for so long a period of time. Within the specifics of this Challenge, I had promised a FollowUp blog post; and--- before I move on to the Autumnal Circle Weaving Handbag Weave-A-Long, it is only fair that I create the promised Gallery.
I apologize profusely, for being so SHAMEFULLY late in creating it.

The Inspiration
In closing, I'd like to share a little more information about the artist and sculptor: Spencer Byles.

I hope you will join me, and other talented Weavers, for my next hosted Challenge.
