Introducing a new Study Group on Facebook. I recently launched the HeartSong Studio Group as a companion to the upcoming Autumnal Circle Weaving Handbag WAL; tentatively set to roll out at the end of October. It is a Public group; but--- once the WAL itself actually begins--- those who have signed up will be directed to a Private Page. BUT--- I have other ideas for this group. So, stop by for a visit. It just takes a Click to join, and then to see what's going on.
Happy Weaving--- in Circles or Otherwise, and Blessings~ __________________________________________ Leave any questions you may have in the Comments. Or Facebook Friends can Private Message me.

Back in March of 2016, I hosted a Spring Weaving Challenge over on Facebook; in the Circle Weaving group. On June 4, 2016, I updated a call to post all Final Entries.
Below is the amazing Fiber Artistry of the following participants--who presented completed Weavings:
Saskia Bongers-Slager
Mary Jeanne Goss
Julienne Hanson
Kathryn Olson
And myself, Laura Abbott
But first---- here is a brief reminder of the Challenge. The following photo ended up within a specified search result, and it captured my Creative Heart.Almost immediately thelyrics of a very old song [The Windmills of Your Mind, by Dusty Springfield], echoed through my mind:
"... like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel---Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel."
As I had mentioned in a recent blog post, it had never been my intention to be away from blogging for so long a period of time. Within the specifics of this Challenge, I had promised a FollowUp blog post; and--- before I move on to the Autumnal Circle Weaving Handbag Weave-A-Long, it is only fair that I create the promised Gallery.
I apologize profusely, for being so SHAMEFULLY late in creating it.

In the meantime: here is the A Little Rag Bag Tote blog post that I updated shortly after the Warp Speed Challenge. Enjoy.
Also--- I have set up an Event on my Studio Community page [see link above], where you can click to Join, if interested. The Event itself will likely be set up as a Private Group--- to help ensure better communication and sharing among participants.

You are invited to stop by my HeartSong Studio Facebook Community Page to see what is going on---- While I am not joining any specific team this year, I am using the upcoming annual Tour de Fleece to help me organize fibers, and finish certain un-finished spinning. I have also been doing a fair amount of [for me anyway] Hand Carding; plus Fiber Tools Maintenance; and prepping to custom blend new Rolags and Rovings.
But, all that got side-tracked, this past weekend when out of the blue I got the urge to Weave in Circles. The project pictured above was SO not on my radar--- neither any forgotten WIPs--- nor Project Development Planning sessions, etc. (~:
EDITED IN: July 3, 2017
Not so sure it wouldn't have been better to simply create a blog post for this project. It may get too confusing updating the photo album. That said--- here is the link to Summer Solstice -- A Circle Weaving.
So--- as I stated above, you are more than welcome to visit me on Facebook to see how it [and other projects] is progressing. I am trying to get back into updating more regular blog posts; but--- in the meantime,
Happy Weaving and/or Spinning and Blessings~

Those of you on Facebook are more than likely familiar with the Memories Feed; that gives us the opportunity to look back and see our Status Updates and what was Shared on any given day--for all the years we have been posting. Recently, one of those Memories helped to indicate that it has been over a YEAR since I have updated a blog post here. I never meant to be away for so long! So--- I do intend to update one of my "A Little or This and A Little of That" posts very soon. In the meantime, you are invited to visit my HeartSong Studio Community Page, and see of what I have been up to, or some of the things that I've been sharing.
I've finished up two new Art Journal pages. Finished a new Circle Weaving. a-a-And endeavored in wee bit of Embroidery. See you all Soon.
